ATABAL PRÉSENTE : ZENTONE« Quand Zenzile rencontre High Tone : le dub au sommet » Télérama.Zentone, c’est ça. Un projet qui réunit deux visions du dub, tout en assumant ses contradictions et ses explorations sonores sans limites. Un peu dub, un peu electro, un peu world music. Et en même temps, rien de tout ça vraiment. Né de la fusion entre Zenzile et High Tone, deux piliers de la scène dub française, Zentone est l’incarnation parfaite d’une expérimentation collective.Avant de se retrouver sous ce nom, Zenzile avait déjà parcouru les routes du rock, du jazz et du reggae, tandis que High Tone avait exploré les territoires de l’électronica, du hip-hop et du breakbeat. C’est en 2006 que ces deux groupes unissent leurs forces pour créer ce projet hors norme, en constante réinvention avec un premier album qui fut une unanime claque sonore. Ils enfoncent le clou en 2021, 15 après, avec le deuxième chapitre.Et ce n’était que le début : avec leur prochain opus, Zentone et Jolly Joseph poussent encore plus loin l’aventure : Joseph sera présent sur l’ensemble de l’album, contribuant à un travail collectif où le chant occupera une place centrale, fusionnant les grooves instrumentaux et les textures électroniques de Zentone avec la voix envoûtante de Jolly Joseph, apportant une touche inédite à leur univers sonore.Contact PMR : malvina@atabal-biarritz.com
