Get ready for the most exciting battle of the bands ever to hit the Queen City, the Big HBCU Southern Classic Battle of the Bands and Fan Fest Weekend! For the 1st time ever 10 HBCU bands will face off in the Queen City, bands include Mississippi Valley, Talladega, Winston Salem State, Benedict, the home towns own Johnson C. Smith, South Carolina State Bongo Brothers, for the first time ever in the Queen City Alcorn and Hampton-and for the first time in over 10 years in a band battle in Charlotte, North Carolina it’s North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T! This is the one you don’t want to miss, bring the entire family. Saturday January 24th, join us from 12pm-5pm for the food truck festival and fan fest, then it’s the main event at 5pm. This event will sell out fast. Be there!! Kids 3 and under are free. Originally Scheduled for January 24 2026. Tickets will remain valid!
