Curieuse histoire que celle des Négresses Vertes,Le groupe indépendant de Rock acoustique né à Paris en 1987, doit autant à la chanson réaliste qu’aux musiques méditerranéennes. Il franchi les frontières avec son premier album « Mlah » en 1988, entre dans les charts anglais avec ses remixes dès 1989 , 3 albums suivent « Famille Nombreuse » en 1991, « Zigzague » en 1995, « Trabendo » en 1999Le groupe s’exporte à l ‘international jusqu’en 2001. La reformation en 2018 est suivie d’une tournée de plus de 300 dates jusqu’en décembre 2024.
