Keep It Stupid, Stupid at 4416 N Clark St – Chicago, IL

KISS the SHOW begins at 7:30 and runs for about an hour and a half. Every two weeks (ish) brings you a stupid comedy like you’ve never seen before: improvised silent clown with live-scoring, an assortment of devised acts from the KISS ensemble, a new group of Baby Clowns, and a featured Special Guest. FOREPLAY, our live-directed experimental clown jam, begins at 6pm. Led by one of our professional idiots, experienced clowns and newcomers alike are invited to play in a new comedy exercise, with the goal of making an audience-ready bit in less than an hour.

The best act at FOREPLAY is then selected to perform at that night’s show.

Audience is welcome and encouraged to watch.

Maybe you’ll see the beginnings of an act before it becomes a part of the next show. Maybe you’ll see the next biggest clown duo meet and work together for the first time. Accessibility: The Playground Theater is located at 4416 N Clark street on the 2nd floor, up one flight of stairs. There is no elevator/chair lift. Please reach out to discuss ways to participate virtually!

Food & Drink: The Playground Theater is a water-only venue with filtered water available for guests. If you’d like to grab a bite or bev besides H2O, visit our buddies MY BUDDY’S – they’re just downstairs! Food and drink (other than water) must be finished before entering The Playground.
