This special comedy event supports the Nicolas Diaz Foundation, with 100% of the profits helping bring joy to children battling cancer at Nicklaus Childrens Hospital.
Our mission for this event is simple and powerful:
?? Replace outdated 20-year-old Nintendo Wii gaming systems in the hospital with the new Nintendo Switch 2, giving young patients something priceless during their toughest fight moments of joy, escape, and normal childhood fun.
The Story Behind the Mission
The Nicolas Diaz Foundation was created in memory of Nicolas Nick Diaz, a joyful young boy diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma at just four years old. Nick fought bravely for nine months before passing away at the age of five.
Nick loved to play games, sing, dance, and make people smile. Today, the foundation honors his spirit by helping children going through cancer treatment experience moments of happiness during incredibly difficult days.
Childhood cancer remains one of the leading causes of death for children in the United States, with around 13,500 kids diagnosed every year.
The Nicolas Diaz Foundation works to:
Raise awareness about childhood cancer
Organize blood donation drives
Support children undergoing treatment
Bring joy and comfort to kids during chemotherapy and hospital stays
Because sometimes, something as simple as playing a video game can make a hospital room feel a little less scary.
