Dr. Scott Borg, an Australian classical guitarist and esteemed educator, is renowned for his vibrant and daring performances that captivate audiences worldwide. As the President of the Jury for the upcoming competition, Dr. Borg brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished career marked by artistic excellence and academic achievement.

Dr. Borg’s musical journey is decorated with numerous international scholarships and accolades, including the prestigious Fellowship in Music Australia (F.Mus.A) awarded by the Australian Music Examinations Board. His performances have graced esteemed venues such as the Apollo Theatre, Alice Tully Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Ateneo de Madrid, showcasing his profound artistry and technical mastery.

In the realm of education, Dr. Borg serves as a faculty member at Montgomery College, Maryland, where he imparts his extensive knowledge and passion for the guitar to aspiring musicians. His academic credentials are impressive, holding a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A) from the New England Conservatory, an Artist Diploma from Yale University, a Master of Music (M.M.) from The Juilliard School, and a Bachelor of Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong, where he graduated as valedictorian with first-class honors.
