Join us for a full day of fungi-focused fundraising activities, all happening inside the annual Green Acres Hopfest at Jester King Brewery the day before the Texas Mushroom Conference!

We’ll be on-site as part of this vibrant community event featuring 50+ local vendors, live music, food trucks, and plenty of Jester King beers. Stop by our area to dive into the fascinating world of mushrooms with hands-on classes, expert instruction, and an otherworldly night walk.

Schedule of Mushroom Activities:

• 1:00 PM: Doors Open & Live Music Begins – Come early to explore the Hopfest vendors, grab food, a beer, and pet the goats! Enter the raffle to win a BoomRoom II from North Spore.
• 4:00 PM: Mushroom Cultivation Class with Austin Davenport & Armadillo Myco Supply. Learn to grow mushrooms indoors and out. (Optional $15 add-on for take-home spawn)
• 6:00 PM: Mushroom Photography Class with renowned mycologist Alan Rockefeller. Master composition, macro photography, and focus stacking to capture stunning fungal details.
• 8:00 PM: UV/Blacklight Night Walk. Venture into the green acres with UV flashlights to discover a secret, glowing world of fluorescent plants, lichens, and fungi.

Giveaways & Tickets

We’ll be giving away tickets to the Texas Mushroom Conference, mushroom growing blocks, and more throughout the day!

Registration for Mycology Activities: $35 Members, $50 Non-members
Kids under 12 are free! This event is family-friendly and well-behaved pets are welcome.

Important Note: Your registration covers our mushroom classes and night walk. The Green Acres Hopfest is a free admission event, so you can come for the whole day of music, vendors, and fun!
