Join the team from Cocina Libre, who brought us the cookbooks Immigrant Resistance Recipes and Sazón & Liberation for an interactive storytelling experience.

Our community workshops blend food, narrative, and dialogue to explore culture, identity, and belonging in ways that are both accessible and deeply meaningful.

Each workshop includes:

  • A short documentary
  • Personal stories from immigrant chefs or community leaders
  • Guided discussions on culture, identity, and shared values
  • A chance to taste and reflect together

Past hosts include:
History Colorado Museum, Denver Public Library, Arapahoe Libraries, Colorado Creative Industries, Anythink Libraries, Heritage Lakewood, Centro del Barrio, and more.

These workshops are flexible and can be tailored for adults, families, or intergenerational groups.

All proceeds from this program directly benefit Cocina Libre.
