The Lao Kitchen: An Evening with Saeng Douangdara & Chef Tiffany Derry at Landing – Grand Prairie, TX

Join us for a special evening celebrating The Lao Kitchen: Lao Flavors and Stories Told Through Family Recipes, the debut cookbook from chef and food creator Saeng Douangdara. Through ninety-five vibrant recipes and personal stories, Douangdara explores the culinary traditions of Laos and the ways food carries memory, family history, and cultural identity across generations.

Hosted at The Landing Restaurant and Bar, the conversation will be moderated by acclaimed Dallas chef Tiffany Derry, a Top Chef fan favorite, restaurateur behind Roots Southern Table, and current judge on MasterChef. Together they will discuss Lao cuisine, the traditions behind the dishes, and how storytelling and cooking intersect in Douangdara’s work.

Tickets include one copy of The Lao Kitchen and light snacks served during the event. Food will be available throughout the evening as guests gather for conversation, community, and a celebration of food culture.

Each ticket includes admission, a copy of the book, and light food. Books will be provided by The Wild Detectives.
