David Linx complice de longue date, insuffle son jazz raffiné ; Hugh Coltman, en passeur d’émotions, apporte une touche de blues envoûtante ; tandis qu’Emmanuel Pi Djob, avec sa voix puissante, incarne le gospel, la soul et la world music. Un nouvel album offrant une rencontre vibrante entre voix et instruments.Rhoda Scott est une organiste et compositrice de jazz américaine née en 1938 dans le New Jersey. Surnommée « The Barefoot Lady » pour sa manière de jouer pieds nus, elle est célèbre pour sa virtuosité à l’orgue Hammond. Fille d’un pasteur, elle découvre très tôt la musique dans les églises, ce qui marque durablement son style, mêlant gospel, blues et jazz.Après des études musicales poussées aux États-Unis, elle s’installe en France dans les années 1960, où elle rencontre un grand succès. Elle collabore avec de nombreux musiciens de renom et fonde plus tard son propre groupe, notamment le Lady Quartet, composé uniquement de musiciennes.
