Hope on the High Notes: A karaoke event to benefit RESOLVE at B.C. Brewery – Cockeysville, MD

As a part of the infertility community, we want to do our part, with you. There are many ways to help – donate to the event, become a volunteer, become a sponsor, register for the karaoke event as an individual or create a team to perform and help with fundraising.

Any way you decide to help will have a huge impact on RESOLVE’s ability to help those who struggle with infertility in Maryland achieve their family building goals. Now more than ever, we are feeling the responsibility to come together, collectively, to show solidarity and to be a voice for those seeking the chance to build their families, to support the 1 in 6.

RESOLVE is an organization dedicated to ensuring all people experiencing challenges in their family building journey reach resolution through being empowered by knowledge, supported by community, united by advocacy, and inspired to act.

RESOLVE provides access to care; advocacy for coverage; support and community; education; and awareness of all family building options.

Performer Guide – What to Expect

Welcome to the stage!

First things first: this is not American Idol. This is community karaoke for a cause. Your job is to have fun and help us raise money.

Before You Sing

• Check in and sign up for your song when you arrive.
• Have a backup song in mind just in case.
• Remember: one song per round so everyone gets a chance.

Pro tip: pick something you actually enjoy singing. Confidence > vocal range.

During Your Performance

• Bring the energy.
• Work the mic.
• Encourage the crowd to vote if they love it.
• Laugh if you mess up. That usually earns more votes.

Audience members will be voting with donations throughout the event, so every cheer matters.

How to Win Crowd Favorite

This isn’t just about vocals. It’s about:

• Song choice
• Stage presence
• Crowd engagement
• Mobilizing your friends to vote
