In the midst of the steel industry crisis, for which the city is known worldwide, five drivers, Becker, Youngblood, Turnbo, Fielding, and Doub, struggle to get by, clinging nostalgically to the past, while seeing only the dark outlines of an uncertain future on the horizon.Italys Sardegna Teatro and La Piccionaia brings their exciting Italian production of August Wilsons Jitney to Ohio. The play is directed by Renzo Carbonera with an all Black-Italian cast. Presented by Clevelands Powerful Long Ladder in association with Case Western Reserve University, this is the first foreign language production of this Wilson classic.There will be projected English supertitles during the performance.
