World-class Chefs, innovative cuisine, a spectacular setting, reconnecting with friends, and the beauty of a summer evening by the Rideau Canal…

The Chef’s Table is a farm-to-table feast with menus curated by Canadian chefs and musical entertainment. Presented by the Ontario Festival of Small Halls, this year’s series will run for one weekend in June, two weekends in August and one weekend in September, in collaboration with the National Arts Centre’s Resident Chefs Program.

This multi-weekend event will once again showcase world-class chefs and great live music, from the patio of the NAC’s 1 Elgin Restaurant, by Ottawa’s gorgeous Rideau Canal. The 2026 Chef’s Table lineup will include some of the region’s most celebrated musical acts and menus curated by Chef Kenton Leier (of the National Arts Centre), along with several of Canada’s finest chefs.

Celebrate a special occasion with a three-course meal from world-class chefs – or just enjoy reconnecting with your closest friends over food, music, and the beauty of a summer night by the Rideau Canal.

Chef Lizardo Becerra
Chef Lizardo Becerra is proud to bring the vibrant flavours of Peru to Ottawa as the owner of Raphaël Peruvian Cuisine and Barrio. Raised in Lima, his passion for cooking began at home before earning a culinary diploma from San Ignacio de Loyola University. He refined his skills at Central in Lima—named the world’s best restaurant in 2023—and later completed a Master in Italian Cuisine in Asti, gaining experience at Michelin-starred restaurants Villa Crespi and Guido da Costigliole.

Chef Kenton Leier
Executive chef Kenton Leier brings enthusiasm, passion, and creativity to the kitchens at Canada’s National Arts Centre. His culinary philosophy relies on the use of sustainable and locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality, and letting their inherent qualities stand out in his dishes.

Music: Irene Torres
Irene Torres, born in Lima, Peru, moved to Canada with her family as a refugee when she was six years old. Irene’s early life introduced her to a variety of musical styles. She developed an early appreciation for eclectic genres, shaping her diverse future musical pursuits.

Lizardo Becerra, chef
Le chef Lizardo Becerra est fier de faire découvrir toute l’intensité des saveurs du Pérou à Ottawa dans ses restaurants Raphaël Peruvian Cuisine et Barrio. Originaire de Lima, c’est chez lui qu’il nourrit sa passion pour la cuisine avant d’obtenir un diplôme culinaire à l’Université San Ignacio de Loyola. Il fait ses armes à Central à Lima, sacré meilleur restaurant au monde en 2023, puis intègre le programme de maîtrise en cuisine italienne d’Asti dans le cadre duquel il se joint aux brigades des restaurants étoilés Michelin Villa Crespi et Guido da Costigliole.

Kenton Leier, chef exécutif au Centre national des Arts du Canada, se démarque par son enthousiasme, sa passion et sa créativité. Sa philosophie culinaire s’appuie sur le recours à des ingrédients locaux et écologiques de la meilleure qualité ainsi que sur la mise en valeur de leurs caractéristiques intrinsèques.
