Delve deep into the heart of court life and learn how the Palace of Versailles grew from a hunting lodge for Louis XIII before his son Louis XIV transformed and expanded it, moving the court and government of France to Versailles. From April to October enjoy a dazzling visual spectacle as you stroll through the majestic flowerbeds and discover the sculptures and ornamental fountains that make these gardens a living work of art. Gardens espectacle doesn’t work from November to March but you will be able to enter into the gardens and enjoy their majesty.
