Embark on a day trip from Riga to visit the Hill of Crosses and the town of Siluva, crossing the border between Latvia and Lithuania.

Start by meeting your guide and driver at your hotel in Riga. From there, we’ll head towards the Latvia-Lithuania border, stopping for a photo with the border signs before continuing on to the Hill of Crosses.

At the Hill of Crosses, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase a cross from the local vendors. You can leave it at the hill as part of the collection or take it home as a souvenir. If you prefer, feel free to bring your own cross to leave behind.

Enjoy a guided tour of the Hill of Crosses, learning about its fascinating history, stories, and legends. Afterward, you’ll have free time to explore the site on your own.

Next, we’ll visit the town of Siluva and the chapel built on the spot where the Blessed Virgin Mary is said to have appeared in 1608. After some free time in Siluva, we’ll return to Riga.

Please note: this tour involves longer driving time, but always make stops for photos and short breaks to stretch along the way. It’s possible to stop for lunch if desired.
