The Guba Khinaliq Tour is a captivating journey through the natural wonders and cultural heritage of northern Azerbaijan.
The tour begins in Baku, from where you’ll head towards Guba and continue to one of the oldest mountain villages in the Caucasus — Khinaliq, located at 2,300 meters above sea level.

Along the way, you’ll stop at Eagle Peak, a stunning viewpoint offering panoramic views of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. You’ll also visit a beautiful canyon, shaped by wind and water over centuries.

Another highlight is Candy Cane Mountain in the Khizi region, where red and white striped hills formed by ancient mineral deposits create a surreal, otherworldly landscape.

Before ascending to Khinaliq, you’ll switch to a 4×4 vehicle (Lada Niva or UAZ). This change is essential for a safe and comfortable drive along the mountain road, which includes steep and rugged terrain.

In Khinaliq, you’ll be treated to a traditional homemade lunch prepared by local residents. All dishes are made with natural, locally sourced ingredients — no additives — and served with freshly baked village bread, straight from a traditional oven.
