On this tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the vibrant streets of Soweto and visit some of its most iconic landmarks. Highlights include the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Soweto Towers, Mandela House, the Hector Pieterson Museum, and the Apartheid Museum.

We’ll provide insights into the diverse architecture and lifestyles in Soweto, from its affluent areas to the middle-class neighborhoods and the more impoverished sections.

You’ll see Desmond Tutu’s house from the outside, as it hasn’t yet been converted into a museum, and take a tour inside Mandela House. We’ll also discuss the student uprising commemorated at the Hector Pieterson Museum (viewed from outside, as its history is covered extensively in the Apartheid Museum).
