Lake Louise, Moraine, & Emerald: From Calgary/Canmore/Banff – Yoho National Park Of Canada, Canada
If you only have one day in the Canadian Rockies, this is the tour for you. Together, we’ll explore the most famous views and scenery and also make our way to a few hidden gems
PRICE:
Welcome to your Canadian Rocky Mountain one-stop-shop. This full-day tour, departing from Calgary, Canmore, and Banff, departs everyday, year-round.
If you want to see all the Rockies icons (plus a few hidden gems), we’ve got you covered.
Following your pickup, we make our way through the grand scenery of the mountains and towards the stunning Lake Louise with the outstanding view of the Victoria Glacier.
Fun Fact: Lake Louise is named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta who’s the fourth fauther of Queen Victoria… Now, she always has her mother looking after her.
Now, let’s be real. You don’t want to spend your time in Banff National Park, trying to find parking and waiting for a shuttle bus, right? No way! The beauty of taking this tour is we skip right past the lines and logistics and take you right there.
After spending time at Lake Louise (and taking enviable pictures there), we’ll take a short ride to Moraine Lake: A snow and glacially fed alpine lake that is only open for a short period each year so you really have to take advantage.
Although similar to Lake Louise, Moraine Lake is surrounded by mountain peaks and giant trees that remind you of what life’s really all about.
Now, for the hidden gems that you won’t find on any tour: Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge.
Cross the Alberta/British Columbia border into Yoho National Park where you will see an immediate change of surrounding. Look around, count how many differences you see.
Emerald Lake is a local favourite for its colour, its surroundings and its feeling of seclusion.
Remember the Natural Bridge we mentioned? It’s actually such an incredible natural phenomenon. Over the years, the streams of Kicking Horse River (named after a horse that didn’t want to cross it), have carved through the rock and made a maze of waterfalls and rapids that now flow through shiny marble-esque stone.
It’s truly not one to be missed.
Finally, your day wouldn’t be complete without a stop in Banff Town. Browse the shops… Taste some maple syrup… Might we recommend the turkish delight at the Banff Candy Store? Just head towards the back of the shop and be amazed.
It’s a long and epic day and we’ll make sure you get back to your starting point.
We’re so hoping to take this journey with you and would be happy to answer any questions!
