Full description
You can learn to surf! We help families, kids, and beginners learn to surf and have fun on their Maui vacation. Surf lessons are in the mornings. Lessons are two hours and all equipment is included (boards, reef shoes, rash guards).

Surf lessons are located near Wailea (in Kihei at Kalama Park) with Waves Hawaii Surf School. You will check in at the surf van. Your surf instructor will help your family get your surf equipment, and ready to go in the water. You will do a land lesson to go over safety and pop-up techniques before heading into the water. This is one of the best locations to learn to surf due to the semi-shallow water and gentle break of the wave. Bring your friends and family to surf with you or to watch! There is a big green grassy area where they will be able to see the surfers from shore. There are also public restrooms, an outdoor shower, ocean oceanfront walking path, a playground, and little cafes/restaurants/food trucks across the street.

Learning to surf and ride waves together is one of the best ways to spend your morning on your Maui vacation!
