You’ll explore the North Loop’s red-brick warehouses transformed into buzzing bakeries, gastropubs, and award-winning kitchens. Expect bites like molten Jucy Lucys, locally made cheese curds, and craft sips from top-tier Twin Cities breweries.
Cross the iconic Stone Arch Bridge into St. Anthony, where cobblestone streets and river views set the stage for stories of flour barons, fur traders, and new-generation chefs reinventing Midwestern cuisine. You’ll hear how European and Indigenous food traditions have shaped the city’s identity—reflected in the flavors you’ll taste.
Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a curious local, you’ll leave this tour full of food, stories, and a deeper connection to Minneapolis’s deliciously diverse culture.
We’ll begin our tour at a lively food hall in the heart of the North Loop, Minneapolis’s former warehouse district turned culinary hotspot. This space buzzes with the energy of local chefs and creative food entrepreneurs.
You’ll indulge in a slice of blistered, coal-fired pizza topped with thoughtfully sourced ingredients and baked in a high-heat oven for a perfect char and chew. Considered one of the best slices in the Twin Cities, it’s a beloved local take on an East Coast classic.
Then, it’s time for a true Minnesota staple: golden, beer-battered cheese curds. Fresh, squeaky, and straight from the fryer, these bites are the ultimate local comfort food; crispy on the outside, melty on the inside and paired with a unique ketchup made right on sight.
After filling up on North Loop favorites, we’ll stroll across the scenic Hennepin Avenue Bridge, taking in views of the Mississippi River and downtown skyline as we make our way into St. Anthony Main—the city’s oldest neighborhood.
There, you’ll dig into a plate of handmade pierogies, soft and pillowy with rich fillings that reflect the area’s Eastern European heritage. Served with traditional accompaniments, they’re a taste of the immigrant stories that helped shape Minneapolis.
We’ll end our tour on a sweet note with a scoop of small-batch ice cream, crafted locally using seasonal ingredients. Whether you go for something fruity, creamy, or adventurous, it’s the perfect way to cool down and reflect on your culinary journey.
As with all our tours, there’s also our delicious Secret Dish.
