Wildlife and Corcovado Tour – Full Day

Experience a full day of adventure on the Osa Peninsula, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. This tour combines wildlife spotting with a guided hike in the La Leona sector of Corcovado National Park, known for its abundant animal activity and well-preserved natural environment.

We’ll leave at 6:00 a.m. from Puerto Jiménez, traveling in a 4×4 vehicle with a certified nature guide. During the trip, you’ll enjoy rural landscapes, tropical rainforest, and views of the Pacific Ocean, while the guide shares information about biodiversity and local ecosystems.

In La Leona, we’ll do an easy and mostly flat hike, perfect for all kinds of visitors. This area combines primary forest, open areas, and a coastal environment, making it easy to spot wildlife.

It’s common to spot the four species of monkeys, as well as sloths, coatis, deer, anteaters, and a wide variety of birds such as toucans, hawks, and scarlet macaws. With a bit of luck, you can also spot big cats like cougars or ocelots. The guide uses binoculars and a telescope to improve sightings.

At the end of the hike, a typical Costa Rican lunch is provided around 1:30 p.m.
Depending on the day’s logistics, lunch can be served on-site or delivered to go (box lunch).
It’s very important to let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions, allergies, or special preferences, so we can coordinate it properly.

The tour is in small groups (maximum 6 people) to offer a more authentic, quiet, and personalized experience.

This is one of the best wildlife tours in Corcovado. Stricter regulations in the Sirena sector have reduced sighting opportunities, while La Leona retains a more natural environment with more animal activity, making it an excellent alternative for wildlife lovers.
