Enjoy a private experience at Sirena Station, right in the heart of Corcovado National Park. Dive into the jungle with your own guide and uncover its amazing biodiversity

PRICE: $250

Explore the heart of Corcovado National Park with a private day tour to the Sirena Biological Station, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet.

The adventure kicks off early, at 5:20 a.m., at the public pier of Puerto Jiménez, where your private and certified nature guide will personally welcome you. You’ll board a shared boat, equipped with life jackets, to tour the coast of Golfo Dulce and then head out to the Pacific Ocean towards Sirena. It’s important to note that this trip is in the open sea, so conditions can be rough and the route can be challenging; this is part of the experience to reach this remote area of the park.

You’ll disembark directly on the beach, as there’s no dock. You’ll need to walk through the water to the shore (sometimes up to your knees). After passing the park rangers’ checkpoint, you’ll start a guided hike along primary and secondary rainforest trails, home to an impressive diversity of wildlife such as tapirs, howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, spider monkeys, squirrels, scarlet macaws, toucans, sloths, colorful frogs, and many other species.
(Just a heads-up: the animals are in the wild, so we can’t promise you’ll see them).

With a private guide, you’ll have the freedom to move at your own pace and tailor the experience to your interests, whether it’s photography, birdwatching, or simply enjoying the jungle with greater peace of mind. Your guide will interpret the forest’s signs and share detailed info about the ecosystems, the park’s history, and conservation efforts.

Around 11:30 a.m., you’ll enjoy lunch at the Sirena Station cafeteria, surrounded by nature. Later, you’ll take a short walk back to the beach to board the shared boat back to Puerto Jiménez, with an estimated arrival time of 2:30 p.m.

This tour is perfect for those who want to enjoy an authentic and personalized experience in Corcovado without having to stay overnight, returning the same day.

Recommendations:
Bring light clothing, hiking shoes, water in a reusable bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, a waterproof backpack for your belongings, a camera, and binoculars. Above all, don’t forget to marvel at the natural wealth of this hidden paradise.
