In 1870, Richmond was a powderkeg. Racial tension following the American Civil War soon boiled over into outright hatred, and a plan was hatched to reinstate a system of White Supremacy by force. However, formerly enslaved African Americans and their allies did not back down without a fight, and refused to let their city be taken over. The ensuing siege and battle would leave many dead, and Richmond history would never be the same.
