Start your half-day tour with pickup from your cruise ship terminal or your accommodation in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Then, make your way to the first of two animal sanctuaries with your professional, bilingual guide.
Visit the Manawakie Monkey and Sloth Hangout, a small, family-run animal sanctuary and a safe and loving environment for many animals. You will get to interact with and learn all about sloths, capuchin monkeys, scarlet macaws, and parrots, with a guided tour through the park.
Then, head to The Arch’s Iguana & Marine Park, one of the oldest animal sanctuaries on the island of Roatan. Established back in 1980 to protect iguanas, it is now home to over 4,000 iguanas, including the black spiny-tailed iguana that is native to Central America.
After enjoying our animal encounters, continue with a scenic island tour featuring hilltop viewpoints and designated photo stops that showcase Roatán’s natural beauty. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the island’s history, culture, and daily life, offering a deeper understanding of the local community and traditions.
