Among other activities on the island, you will have the opportunity to visit the whole complex plus a communal cell where ordinary prisoners were kept. The guide will tell you about the island’s long history with an exhibition of different materials as proof of prisoner hard life before he takes you to then see other cells including the cell where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years out his 27 year in jail.
