Begin your day with a scenic drive from San Francisco to the Redwood Forest Steam Train. Board the train and travel over trestles, through towering redwood groves, and up a winding narrow-gauge grade to the summit of Bear Mountain. Listen as conductors narrate the history of Roaring Camp, the railroad, and the forest.

Next, head to the Santa Cruz Harbor, situated on the site of the former Woods Lagoon. Built in 1962–1963, its public use specializes in boating and extracurricular marine activities for the local community and visitors.

Finally, make your way to Capitola Beach, where you can relax and soak in the coastal atmosphere before heading back to San Francisco.
