During our approximately one-hour visit, you will have the opportunity to explore the ground floor of this marvelous work of Sevillian architecture.

This palace, located next to the church of San Esteban, was commissioned by the Marquis of Tarifa in the 15th century. After a trip to Jerusalem, he realized that the distance from his house to the Cruz del Campo temple was the same as the distance between the place where he was told Pilate’s Praetorium was located and Mount Calvary, hence the name of this palace.

The house is an example of Gothic-Mudejar architecture in the city, and in its rooms and courtyards you can enjoy sculptures and portrait galleries that decorate the walls, as well as a fine example of tile work.
