Sisal Yucatán: Flamingo Safari Tour Mangroves – Sisal, Mexico
Let’s explore the mangrove swamp on a safari to observe birds, specifically the pink flamingo (species: Phoenicopterus ruber) in the Sisal Yucatán reserves.
PRICE:
We will explore the mangrove swamp on a safari, navigating the mangrove lagoon in a rectangular “trajinera” canoe with a maximum capacity of two to three people per canoe, looking for the famous birds called “flamingos” that are unique to Sisal in this area of the Yucatan Peninsula. The tour focuses mainly on searching for these bird species and observing their behavior while enjoying the scenery and taking photos.
We use canoe-like boats similar to “trajineras” so that tourists can have their hands free to take photos or observe comfortably with binoculars. This ecotourism experience begins in Sisal. Our meeting point is our base of operations located in the magical town of Sisal, where we will begin the experience (tours) with an introductory explanation and safety instructions.
We will start the adventure in a “tuk tuk” style vehicle, ideal for enjoying the safari-style landscape in the open air without windows, to reach the right spot in the reserve where we will disembark in rectangular canoe-style boats.
Upon arriving at the special spot in the reserve where the flamingos are located, we will begin to navigate in the canoe-style boat to approach the flamingos at a safe distance so as not to disturb them and begin to observe how they fly, their behavior, and their landing. It is a spectacular sight.
We use canoes so you don’t have to paddle and can keep your hands free.
