Soweto: Sip & Paint Walking Tour & Take Home a Canvas – Johannesburg, South Africa
Discover the vibrant arts and culture of Soweto on a guided walking tour.
PRICE: $31
per person
Meet your local BOOK IBHONI guide outside our shop opposite the Hector Pietersen Museum and take a short but colorful walk to explore Soweto’s creative corners. Along the route your guide introduces you to local murals and stories that inspire our artists. We will also visit a local boutique that sells African-inspired fashion, accessories and homeware with a strong focus on community upliftment.
We finish at our shop where your Sowetan guide leads a friendly, step-by-step Sip & Paint session. You’ll receive a canvas, paints and brushes, plus a glass of local wine (or non-alcoholic option). Your guide will guide you through simple techniques and help each guest create an original piece to take home. No experience required, this is for first-timers and confident painters alike.
You’ll leave with: a finished painting, new Soweto stories, photos and a memory that supports local artists. Perfect for couples, groups of friends, solo travellers, and families.
Duration: approx. 3 hours.
Group size: small & friendly (2–10).
Languages: English.
Book early seats are limited and we run small groups to keep the session hands-on.
