Experience one of BC’s most iconic day hikes, famous for its three stunning turquoise glacial lakes, dramatic alpine scenery, and the backdrop of Matier Glacier, with a certified Hiking Guide.

You will meet your friendly and experienced ACMG-certified Hiking Guide will provide helpful instructions and a trailhead briefing before setting off.

Your hike will begin with a stop at the peaceful Lower Joffre Lake. Then you will ascend a stunning trail which climbs steadily through lush old-growth forest and rocky terrain, rewarding hikers with increasingly breathtaking views.

Once at the Middle Joffre Lake, you will pause for fantastic photo opportunities of the surrounding mountains and take a well-deserved break on a bench.

From there, continue past a waterfall to the stunning Upper Joffre Lake, where you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Matier Glacier, surrounding mountains, and waterfalls cascading off the mountains.
