Resting for over 100 years about one mile north of the Galveston Island, SS Selma is an WWI-era ship. It was an experimental ship made of concrete reinforced with steel rebar. SS Selma is the only permanent and prominent shipwreck along the Houston Ship Channel.
Let’s visit SS Selma shipwreck from up close, paddling in kayaks designed to excel in sea-conditions. This is an outstanding opportunity to learn about Texas history and a great opportunity to experience coastal wildlife (surfacing dolphins, flying pelicans, etc.).
