Guided tour of Toledo Underground in Spanish, a walk below and above the old city. Our most famous route, like no one else does in this city. Since July 1, 2025, we’ve been visiting 5 underground spaces. We also walk outside, through different streets and corners of the city, it’s not always underground. And at night, or in the afternoon. Book this route in advance, it fills up fast…

If you don’t know Toledo’s underground, you don’t really know the city. Under the walls and gates of ancient Toledo, preserved as treasures, lie hidden hundreds of basements, caves, galleries… An unusual set of underworld rooms that very few get to know, which shape this route of Underground Toledo.

We’ll tell you about the city’s underground history, but we’ll be looking for private locations and highlighting the history, anecdotes, and curiosities of these spaces and their location in time. We’ll also stroll through various parts of the city on our way to these underground sites.

The undergrounds we visit are:

*Imperial Roman Baths of Toledo, an underground space. Private space, we open with our own key. (They’re not the same as the Termas del Consorcio offices that others visit)
* Arab Baths of Cenizal, in the Pozo Amargo neighborhood. A 12th-century Islamic-era construction.
*The impressive Pozo del Salvador, a large medieval cellar (12th-13th centuries), parallel to Calle Trinidad, with vaulted access and a large brick room with a central water collection well.
*Dungeons of the Posada de la Hermandad. This space belongs to a museum and is accessed with our guide.
A curious collection of wooden models with Toledo monuments in the basement of a private home in Toledo. Perfect for kids! It’s a private space, and we open it with our own key. EXCLUSIVELY WITH RUTAS DE TOLEDO.
*Walk through different parts of the city (old town) on the way to the underground.

The route runs through different streets of the city, the underground is accessed privately, they are not open to the public except for the dungeons, which is an exhibition. You won’t visit the underground sites in the order indicated. The end point isn’t specified, as you can finish at any of the underground locations.
