Embark on a full-day rafting adventure on the Lower New River in Lansing, West Virginia. Known for its versatile rapids and breathtaking scenery, this trip offers a unique experience every time. Whether you’re paddling through high-volume flows reminiscent of the Colorado River or enjoying summertime’s tight shoots and bouncy rides, the Lower New River promises excitement for all skill levels.

Your journey begins with a safety briefing and gear preparation at the meeting point. Once on the river, you’ll tackle iconic rapids like Surprise, Keeney Brothers, Double Z, and Greyhound Bus Stopper, ranging from Class III to Class V. Between adrenaline-pumping waves, take time to relax in calm pools, swim in tepid waters, or soak in the beauty of the New River Gorge.

Highlights of the trip include stops at Jump Rock for cliff jumping, a delicious deli-style riverside lunch, and spectacular views of the New River Gorge Bridge. Along the way, you’ll also pass several historic ghost towns nestled in the gorge. With 4-6 hours of “on river” time, this adventure is perfect for families, groups, or solo explorers looking for a mix of thrill and tranquility.

No prior experience is required, but participants must be at least 11 years old. The trip concludes back at the base camp, where you can change into dry clothes and relive the day’s excitement.
